The Conference on Membrane Computing (CMC) series started in 2000 as the Workshop on Multiset Processing. The first Workshop on Membrane Computing was organized in Curtea de Arges, Romania, in 2001. In 2010 it was transformed into a conference, CMC11. In 2022, CMC23, was held in Trieste (Italy). The university of Debrecen hosted the 2023 edition. And this year it take place in Nice at the Université Côte d'Azur. Nowadays a Steering Committee takes care of the continuation of the CMC series which is organized under the auspices of the International Membrane Computing Society (IMCS)
Submission Guidelines
Original research contributions (including significant work-in-progress) on membrane computing, its applications and related subjects are sought. Contributions reporting in-vivo or in-silico experimental results are particularly encouraged.Submitted papers must describe work not previously published, and they must neither be accepted nor under review at a journal or at another conference with refereed proceedings. Authors are required to submit their manuscripts electronically in PDF using the LNCS style.

Topics
Membrane computing, like artificial neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, swarm intelligence, cellular automata and DNA computing, is also a branch of nature-inspired computing initiated by Gheorghe Păun in 1998. It aims to abstract computing models, called membrane systems or P systems, from the structure and the functioning of the living cell as well as from the cooperation of cells in tissues, organs, and populations of cells. This research area has grown into a vigorous scientific discipline and has attracted a large number of researchers all over the world. CMC2024 is organised to provide an open platform to bring together scholars worldwide to present their recent work on membrane computing, on topics related to theory, application and implementation of membrane computing but not limited to as follows:
