Description
Quantum software development is becoming a critical skill as quantum computing matures from theory to practice. The Workshop on Quantum Software (WQS) addresses all the intermediate layers of the quantum computing stack, from high-level algorithms down to hardware implementation.
WQS addresses four pillars of quantum software, namely:
- Language Design: High-level programming language definition through machine-independent syntax and semantics specifications for quantum computation.
- Compilation: Structured methodologies for translating high-level quantum programs into executable form, bridging the gap between abstraction and hardware.
- Formal Methods: Analysis of program properties, verification techniques, and compiler optimization, ensuring correctness in quantum software.
- Support Software for Quantum Computers: Bridging compiled quantum programs and physical execution, translating abstract operations into hardware, managing the precise orchestration required for reliable operation.
Submission
We solicit submissions in the form of a maximum of 5-page (excluded references) extended abstracts describing original results in the form of ongoing works potentially able to foster interesting and constructive discussions. Work already published will also be considered for discussion. In this case, we invite the authors to clearly state this in their submission by indicating the reference to the journal/conference where it was published and the link to the full paper, wherever possible.
There is no fixed format to prepare your submission, but we recommend the use of a single-column layout with a no less than 10pt size.
