GNB - Gruppo Nazionale di Bioingegneria (Italian Bioengineering Group) is a non-profit association with scientific, cultural, informative, and social goals, such as promoting, sponsoring and coordinating studies, research and debates on Biomedical engineering. GNB organizes scientific events and summer schools for PhD students since 1981.
The GNB Congress, held on a biennial basis since 2008, provides an overview of recent activities and breakthrough research in the field of bioengineering in Italy and in the world. The GNB Congress aims at involving Italian and international members of both the scientific and industrial communities and offers an excellent opportunity for sharing ideas through engineers, biomedical researchers and clinical practitioners in the framework of the most advanced international research in bioengineering. The variety of issues covered at the GNB Congress reflects the cross-cutting nature of bioengineering, a discipline that is becoming pervasive in many aspects of daily life and has the potential to address local and global challenges.
The 9th edition of the GNB Congress (GNB2025) will take place on June 16th - 18th, 2025 in Palermo. Participants will get the opportunity to present their knowledge, meet people from all the Italian and international community, and enjoy the cultural heritage of Palermo and its University, which has more than 200 years of history (founded in 1806). The GNB 2025 will be organized in conjunction with the ESB-ITA 2025 for a unique four-day event on biomedical engineering in Palermo!
The program of GNB 2025 is expected to include, in addition to keynote lectures and round tables, at least 40 oral presentations given by young researchers and daily sessions dedicated to poster exhibition. Poster sessions will provide an excellent opportunity to present ongoing research activities and discuss with other conference attendees.
Best oral and poster presentations will be awarded with GNB 2025 Awards (the exact number of awards will depend on the final number of sponsors).
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
The following paper categories are welcome:
